Strange problem with Discogs

Hi Germi..
Sorry if I got another question about Discogs but until recently the inclusion of albums through Discogs worked perfectly but today I got these errors:

Warning: simplexml_load_file() [function.simplexml-load-file]: discogs62.xml:1: parser error : Start tag expected, 'character minor' not found in D:\\xampp\\htdocs\\xxx\\administrator\\components\\com_muscol\\controllers\\albums.php on line 73

Warning: simplexml_load_file() [function.simplexml-load-file]: ^ in D:\\xampp\\htdocs\\xxx\\administrator\\components\\com_muscol\\controllers\\albums.php on line 73

Fatal error: Call to a member function children() on a non-object in D:\\xampp\\htdocs\\xxx\\administrator\\components\\com_muscol\\controllers\\albums.php on line 91

I have always used this function locally. Can you help me understand why this function no longer works? Discogs for me is very important.

Thanks

    hey

it was a temporary Discogs problem. the updgrade package is not needed anymore

yo have to go back to 2.0.0. since it was only once file changed, if you have the previous albums.php, just replace it (just like you did, but the other way around!)

okay okay I did not upgrade - all is cool - just installed the regular MC as per instructions. The info I emailed you is on how to access the site - the test song/album is under the "F" in the alphabet menu. When you have time could you take a look - thanks. Make sure I have all I need to be a rip roaring site.

    Thanks Germi. :)

It appears to be working for me - I only get the below error:

Warning: gzinflate() [function.gzinflate]: data error in public_html/libraries/joomla/filesystem/archive/gzip.php on line 77

Besides that it still seems to pull over data into some fields.

in my local machine with XAMPP 1.7.2 for windows (PHP 5.3.0).

hm.... maybe the problem is related precisely to the fact that you are in "local".. do you have the chance to test it on a live server?

But before I never had problems in local with Discogs.
Yes I have test it on a live server too and I have only some of this error:

Warning: gzinflate() [function.gzinflate]: data error in /public_html/libraries/joomla/filesystem/archive/gzip.php on line 77

But the integration seems to work.

I use the integration with Discogs mainly in my local machine. :-(

yes... but since the discogs api changed a little bit, maybe they added somehings that blocks responses to localhost, or something like that...

so it can be possible that it worked and now it does not... because they changed the system...
