a couple things (lets try to merge all your posts into only one
in what artist did you used a image for artist name? just in case: the image appears only on the artist page or album page, NOT in artists list.

images on Latest added albums: are you using DYNAMIC IMAGE generation on Music Collection (thats a parameter you can choose)

As to your questions:

Artist name image can not be displayed in any page. I myself already guessed it shouldn't be shown in the artist list but in detail page. But it doesn't show up even in the detailed artist view. Led Zeppelin, Marillion, Eloy has their logos right now..but not showing..

I tried both static and dynamic..none of them worked.

For searching, the title of the error message page is:

500 - Layout "" not found

Are you sure the link is to the latest module. Cos I am seeing ver 1.0.1 in the below link..Whereas what I have in the site is somethign like 1.5.1. My site is J1.5 not J1.0.14

the name is obsolete (I should change the name to 1.5.0) but the version is the correct, it will work on 1.5.

the 500 - Layout "" not found error is indicating that for some reason the layout variable is lost in the way. I'm thinking... can I have access to your admin area? I'm sure this a quite simple parameter that is setted wrong. I if can access your admin area, I think I'll solve in no-time

I recently updated my site with now music collection 1.5. I am having lots of small problems. The biggest problems:

error 500 : layout detailed not found
music player not working (mod muscol_jwplayer)
music not playing at all (used to work in 1.02)
mod_muscol_featured_albums : errors when showing on front page, cannot adjust size of carousel mode -> I would for example like to show 6 albums on frontpage in carousel mode published in scroller module position all over the site and not as a small 3-piece-album module

I guess there are a lot mistakes that are caused by myself but I cannot find suitable answers to it

about the "detailed layout not found", this is caused by Joomla's SEF engine. first of all, can I disable it for a minute? so I can access the albums...

second: I need super-admin access to see the PREFERENCES in Music Collection, otherwise I can't see you songs configuration to find out what's wrong

as far as I can see, the music not playing is also because of the SEF. this joomla sef built-in engine seems to fails sometimes :S I'll try to make a patch to avoid this sef issues for Music Collection. meanwhile, please disable the sef for a moment

about the CAROUSEL: you have to adjust the width of some CSS elements.
it's all CSS. do you know a bit css?
the file is /modules/mod_muscol_featured_albums/tmpl/jcarousel/skins/tango/skin.css

please tell me something ASAP!

turned off joomla sef. seems to cause some of the problems. I am a little stupid because you already wrote about turning it off in another answer already. I just turned off artio sef plugin.
I gave you super admin access. If you find the time you might have a look. About the css - I am learning about it but will have a look at the mentioned file.

I had a look at the css and managed to increase the width of the module. (mod_muscol_featured_albums )

How can I set it to show 6 or (possibly) 8 random albums with a larger thumbnail size than the one on my side:

about the 6 random album:

just a small calculus for instance, lets assume you want the thumbnails be 180px and have 10px of pasing on each side, so every LI element widths 180 + 10 + 10 = 200px.

if you want 6 albums to show a time, then... 200 * 6 = 1200px is the with that the container element should have

well the notice has disappeared. if you haven't changed anything during your login then I guess this message was caused by the rockbox plugin (I turned it off) which comes along with rockettheme templates. so really that has to do with your component.
funny side-effect now: if I login and try to access jomsocial's profile page I get this following error:

Premature end of script headers: index.php

I changed the index.php of joomla and of the template but it does not help. If anyone is having the same issue, please let me know. The error is cuased by either jomsocial, rockettheme, or a combination of those two plus a third unknown component. Oh sugar, this is hell!

were you able to fix the SEF issues in joomla? Im having the same problem as you, when disable, everything is fine, but when enabled, player dont work

I use ArtioJoom Sef 3.5.3 (Free edition) with the Music Collections plugin at the downloads section of this site, it didnt give me any error. You can use them too. When you upload your plugin you can open SEF options from Joomla.
