I would like to know if it’s not possible to automatically approve new sales? Having many affiliates with many customers will take a lot of time if I have to approve every time a customer has bought something.
Furthermore I would like to know if I can change the currency when I’m paying my affiliates? My shop is in different languages and therefore different currencies. I tried to make a sale in DKK (Danish Kroners) but when I had to pay commission to the affiliate through PayPal I only had the option to pay in USD. This means that the commission would actually be higher than the actual sale.

hello again,

ok, I have found the issue with some currencies. for the Hungarian Forint, Japanese Yen, or Taiwan New Dollar, the problem was just that PayPal requires a different format in this case. I added this into the plugin, it should work now.

However, as for Turkish Lira, the issue is different, it is all explained in this page: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/api/currency_codes/

as you see, PayPal states:

"This currency is supported as a payment currency and a currency balance for in-country PayPal accounts only."

I guess this means you can only test this inside the country, between Turkish accounts. It's not a limitation on our end, it's PayPals.

    hello,

Yes, you can automatically approve comissions. You will find this option on the PLUGIN configuration parameters (whatever plugin are you using)

As for the different currencies, sorry, unfortunatelly this is not possible at the moment (the config of the PayPal plugin only allows one currency), so in this case you would need to change the currency when you're paying affiliates in different currencies...

We are working on improvements in Affiliate Tracker and we will work to improve the currencly handling.

    Thanks!

Thank for the answer, but I cant change to other curency as the provision adds up in dollars in the paypall plugin, even if the prices in the shop is in YEN...
This means that the software is unusable outside US?!?!?!?!?!?!?

    You cant be seriousabout this?!?

    Hello,

No, if you go to the PayPal plugin you can adjust the currency for the payments (it is set by default to "USD" but you can change it)... do you know what I mean?

Hi again - Ahhh, just to be sure:

Lets say a danish agent sells our products in Danish Crowns. I need to transfer 100 danish crowns in commision. When I enter the paypall plugin to pay him, the amount is then by default 100 Dollars.
Can I in the paypall screen then change the currency, WITHOUT changing the amount, so I can transfer him 100 Dkk and not 100 US$??

Next day I might need to send 200 Euro somewhere...
    Thanks for your quick reply!

yes, that's very easy. Just wait a few minutes I will publish a new version of the plugin that will allow you to change the currency right there in the payment page.

I have just installed the new plugin and it works much better than the previous solution. So thank you for that.

But I still have a few problems after testing it.
For Turkish Lira or Malaysian Ringgit it tells me the following when I proceed to PayPal: "This recipient does not accept payments denominated in TRY/MYR. Please contact the seller and ask him to update his Payment Receiving Preferences to accept this currency." This is even though the settings for the recipient mail has been adjusted to accept any kind of currency. I don't know if this is a problem with PayPal or in the plugin. At the moment the Turkish Lira is most important to me. Unfortunately I don't have the possibility to test with a Turkish recipient PayPal account. Do you know what to do?

Furthermore I get this message when I choose Hungarian Forint, Japanese Yen, or Taiwan New Dollar: "The link you have used to enter the PayPal system contains an incorrectly formatted item amount".

Finally there are two Norwegian Krones in the selection window and the last of them leads to New Zealand dollar (NZD).

    Hello!

    1. this does not seem to be a problem of the plugin.. there's no restriction whatsoever related to the payment currency.. it must come from PayPal's end. Maybe try to contact PayPal about this..

    2. Hmm.. that's weird. Maybe they require a different format for these currencies. I'll check PayPal docs if I can find this.

    3. oh, sorry. That's a typo on my end. Corrected! ;) now it says New Zealand Dollars.

I just got a additional question/idea. When creating a new account could it be made possible to customize the 'Account affiliate link'? Right now it's just automatically generating a link with the ending ?atid=#, correct? I would really appreciate the option to customize this since I would like my affiliates to give their customers a direct link to a specific site/place on my webshop.

this is not possible at the moment on the FRONTEND, because the user could just input a link that "would not exist" on the website. That is why the customized link option is given to admins only, because they will know if the link actually exists...

Sounds good. But where exactly do I customize the links on the backend? I have not been able to localize that myself.

Sounds good. Just to be totally sure about how it works. If I make the referral word 'germany' for a German affiliate and then create the new link http://www.mydomain.com/germany and set this to get redirected to a specific place on my site like http://www.mydomain.com/product1, will the affiliate then only get commission when the /germany is used or also if a customer go directly to the original link /product1?
