i have purchased MC and im very new to joomla and web design as a whole, im looking for a atep by step guide or a helping hand in properly setting up MC with my site i like the layout you guys have how do i go about doing this? Help!

0well, most of the basic set-up is achieved by configuring the component's parameters.
on the backend, go to music collection, and click the top right buttin PARAMETERS.
there you will find all the main configuration of the component, take a good look at it.
besides of that, the most important thing is: create a menu item of type MUSIC COLLECTION -> ARTISTS -> detailed (aka Music COllection's homepage). that shoud be your starting point.
two of the parameters I told you before are INTROTEXT1 and INTROTEXT2. use them to show content on the MC's homepage.
for instance, to show modules on the homepage, you just need to render them here byt typing this:
{loadposition moduleposition}
where moduleposition is the joomla module position (of course
) that you want to render in there...
that should be quite enough to start playing around...
