what extension type do these files have? is it just .mp3 ?

It's a .cdg file extension.

oh.. unfortunately I don't think this can be played, Flash player does not support it... sorry.
what you could do is to have a different field just to download this file: I mean, it couldn't be played, but it could be downloaded!

CDR cannot be played online. it's not about modificating the code, it just can't be done.
what you could do is to have MP3 versions of the files, and user them to preview, and then the original CDR file to download... that's the only way!
