Updated to Joomla 2.5 and now Player Doesn't Work

I tried updating my Joomla site from 1.7.5 to 2.5.1 and got an error during the upgrade process, so I tried to revert back to 1.7.5 from the backup file I did with Akeeba backup...

However, now I started getting all these "notices" on my Music Collection pages (all of them):

Notice: Undefined variable: tagcloud in /home/worship/public_html/modules/mod_muscol_top_viewed/tmpl/default.php on line 43

Song Title Search

Notice: Undefined index: separator in /home/worship/public_html/modules/mod_muscol_search_bars/tmpl/default.php on line 59
Artist
Notice: Undefined variable: where in /home/worship/public_html/components/com_muscol/helpers/helpers.php on line 625

Notice: Undefined variable: return in /home/worship/public_html/components/com_muscol/helpers/helpers.php on line 455

Notice: Undefined index: separator in /home/worship/public_html/modules/mod_muscol_search_bars/tmpl/default.php on line 60

And then whenever I try to PLAY a song, nothing happens (player doesn't not start playing). What can I do to fix this?!! I'm running an older version of the component - should I upgrade and see if that fixes the problem? If so, what is the recommended way to upgrade?

this is just error reporting level (joomla gloval config)
you sould decrese its level. set it to none, or minimum, and you'll be good to go

But the player is not playing the songs now...! I click the Play button but nothing happens... I think I need to install the new version since I'm using com_muscol_2.2.0_1.6. How do I do this?

no need to install nothing new, the reason the player is not playing is the reason I just told you, you need to get ride of the notices... just decrease error reporting level!

How do I decrease the error reporting?

Update: Now when I go in, I am seeing no errors at all - however, the player still is not playing... Site is at:

Music Player tab. I will temporarily set it to Public so you don't have to log in.

hello Jacki

well apparently the problem is simply that songs do not exist on the folder.
example:
this is the first song of the album:

http://rptworship.com/songs/choir Songs/The Prince of Praise/There is a Name Tenor.mp3

as you can see this file cannot be found.

are you storing the files on the /songs folder?

Hi Germi,

I'm in the same case
Since i update my component, my jw player module doesn't work too:
i have the message: task queue failed at step 5: XML could not be parsed or playlist was empty

Thank you - Sorry for the confusion! I guess when I did the restore it did not restore my songs folder... I put it back and now it's working.

If I DO want to upgrade the musicol component at this point, what is the best way so as to keep my settings?

@rudy you can't have the same problem because your version is for joomla 1.5...! where you get this error?

if the playlist is empty it's normal that it shows that message!
