Simple Upload Form - Entire Album

I see we now have a simple upload form for a song. With ID3 tag reading this is great. I upload a song and if needed, MC creates the artist and album automatically.

But what if I want a simple upload from for an entire album. Can this be done? The whole goal for the front end is simplicity and usability. All I want users to have to do is upload files. With ID3 tag reading there is no need to fill in fileds. If need be, we can go back and edit the album after the upload.

So to get to the point. Is there a way to copy what was done for the single song upload for multiple songs?

we are working in a "upload a zip file" feature that will allow you to upload it and the system will unzip it and create process all the songs in it. is that what you're asking?

so, it won't be a form with multiple input files, but just 1, for a zip file containing multiple songs.

    That would be great!

Although an option for both a zip or selecting multiple songs at once would be ideal. I can still see some users would rather just pick the songs instead of zipping them up. You know how end users are :)

Keep up the good work Germi!

Hey buddy: This upload zip option will be an excellent addition to you component.

I installed Music Collection a few weeks ago and it is an excellent product. It needs some optimizations here and there but the core product is really imppresive. As I work with it I can see the hours and hours you spent building this tool.

I've found many little things that could be easily fixed in your next releases. I've harcoded them into my copy in order to make the software behave appropitelly for my needs, but I'm compiling them in a file for you to review. Again, no complaints, just trying to help you help me with a better product :D

    Keep up the good work!

    Any who,

    Any update on this?

This is the one thing missing from your component. As far as I'm concerned, this should be worked out before any other feature is added or worked on. This is a music collection software so please make it as easy as possible for the front-end user to add albums to the collection. I have been waiting since 2010 for this software to meet my requirements. Easy upload is at utmost importance.

    Thanks!

you're right :) but we haven't released this yet. actually I have a beta version for this option working pretty good on our test environment. since a new upgrade will come soon (because Joomla 3.0 has just been released!) I'll add this new feature if it's stable enough :)

Have you ever thought about a drag and drop ajax module for the front end? That would be even more simple.
