    :) the current version of MC does not work with 1.6, yet!
    it's 95% comptabible... but there are two things missing, because it's syntaxi in 1.6 is slighly different.

    these two things are precisely 1)the parameters and 2)MooTools functions

    we are working on this. we'll publish an update soon

    This thread is just over a week old, and we are still asking when this will be done. Jeeze, we need to relax a bit here and not continue to "harass" the developer. It will be done when its done.

    yes, relax a bit... :)

    It's almost done, but still some things to test. the main headache is that "language labels" work a bit different in 1.6, so I have to change all the JText in the component... a pain in the ass!

    in any case, we will first release a "beta" for 1.6, so all of you, writers of this thread, can test it and send me feedbakc, before posting an "stable" release.

    I'll let you know

    @max power

    Not sure where you are getting harassing or even needing to relax at ( as Inigo Montoya would say "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." :laugh:). The post I made was a very simple, straight forward, and in no way harassing or portraying a sense of urgency type post. As well as a single post, not multiple requests. Something merely requesting a status update. An update on a product release is not something beyond normal expectations.

    And yes this thread may only been a week old, but this topic is a few months old. A quick search or read through the forums and you will see that.

    hahahhahaha, classic movie!

    I just saw four posts in the same thread asking pretty much the same question. Germi answered twice. I don't know, but if I was the developer... I would start getting annoyed. I'm just saying. And yes... "harassed" is probably not the best word choice. And if you are pulling out Princess Bride quotes... there is no way I should be arguing :)

    one quick question for germi:

    if i build a site now over j! 1.5 with jomsocial, will it be possible for me to migrate the site data to a j! 1.6, when the compatible jomsocial versin for 1.6 is published, without loss of any data not user information?

    yes it will be possible when we make the upgrade plugin

    otherwise, you can always you manually copy the database and copy it into your new J1.6 site... (database structure does not change between versions)

    I know we all want this to be compatible with 1.6 but just give germi time. He's doing everything he can to get this released for all of us. Besides, I'm sure that you guys aren't just waiting on this to become compatible so you can install 1.6. You guys must be waiting on other developers to make their components compatible, yes? I'm sure it can't just be germi's.

    can't you give an exact date yet?
