Hey Germi,

I hope you can share your ideas on this...

I use gtmetrix to see how my site is doing and lately I noticed that my page size became huge.. 5-7 mb!..An explenation is that gtmetrix changed the way the display the results . It's long story.. but due to this change I found out now that the first song of each album seems to be loaded automatically?? Even though the user did not click on the play button yet?

Is that correct? and if so...what will that mean for page loading times?

See attached screen to see what i mean.

looks like JWplayer automatically loads the first song when the player is initialized... not much we can do about that.

Please correct me if im wrong..

I went to my jwplayer acount. Setup a player and downloaded it as 'self hosted' player.
I replaced the next folder /plugins/muscolplayers/jwplayer/jwplayer

with the new downloaded jwplayer folder.

I did not touch anything else right?

Q2: just a thought... you ever looked at the cloud hosted player? Is that any good?

And for your info... i found the preload issue:

    https://support.jwplayer.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2200669-video-preloading

its browser related when the player is set to 'none'... so that's it ;)

The cloud hosted player does not make much sense in the case of Music Collection because the contents to play change in each page...
