I'm just trying to make the Album Upload process as simple as possible. So until the zip album upload is added, I am wondering if there is a way I can edit the current album upload page to just have the song list.
So far I edited components/com_muscol/views/album/tmpl/form.php to just give me the the song upload fields. This works fine and the songs are uploaded. However MC does not obtain the Album Title, Album Year, Genre or Artwork from the ID3 tags. Now this is expected since this form orginally has you manually enter in this information.
My question is is there a way I can tell MC to collect the above missing data using this form (just as in the single song upload)? If its a big hassle, don't worry about it. I just want to finish my site and this is the last major thing that I need accomplished.

I know what you say, but no, there's no way of currently doing that (until we add the new options for uploads)
the thing is that if you use an "album form" then the system "suposes" that you will be entering at least the album name and artist. ID3 data will be colected ONLY for song information but not for created album or artist, since in theory, you are creating it in that action. do you know what I mean?

0Oh yeah, I know what you mean Germi. And I understand that its not that big a deal to type in the extra info.
I just want my private music sharing site to be as simple as can be for my friends and I. I just want them to be able to log in, click upload, pick songs or zip file, and be done with it. Clean and simple... no thinking.
Any ways, this is just a side project I have been working on. Waiting for this last feature to finish my site and send it out to the rest of my friends.
