    hi

you don't have to unzip anything. You just install the file using joomla installer, as you would do with any other extension

DO NOT copy the files into the components folder... you don't do this ever in joomla

here are the installation instructions: https://www.joomlathat.com/documentation/music-collection/installation

So now I think that is installed correctly. see attachment.

For the JWPLAYER, where I copy the folder and the files, or it's necessary to install with the same procedure of music collection ?

Thank in advance for your help.

again, you DON'T COPY ANYTHING. You never do that in joomla...

you simply INSTALL using the installer. always. that's all. as easier as it gets...

Other question. The server where I have the sound are not the same of the web site.
In the web site, I defined virtual folders who goint on the server of sound. How I define this server in music collection ?

In my network, I have one server for the web site, one server for the files sound.

You can do it using the "songs server", as you did in your configuration. this way you can point to an external server to play songs.

    hi

this is getting frustrating... just use the INSTALLER option

    "Transférer un paquet".

drop the ZIP there and install

is this the first extension you ever install on joomla?

but I can not scan my server with the songs? I want to use music collection with my extenal server, to create the play lists, to upload the files, etcccc and I can not do that with the external server ?

And When i want to upload one file into my server "mp3" after select the file, I click to the button Save songs, the system said Song saved, but in the folder I have nothing.

    see attachments.

no, scanning is only possible for LOCAL files.
if you're using an EXTERNAL server, you are supposed to upload the songs into the external server (using FTP or something like that), and then in music collection you just point to the files.

when using external files, it's only for "pointing to", it's not for scanning or for uploading files to it.

in fact your application has no interest, me who thought to make a website or I could listen to music and my friends could drop music, but if you have to go through an ftp client to drop music and that the music must be on the server locally, it is useless.

Frankly you think that I will put in front of the web the server that hosts the pieces of musqiues ? My song server are in the DMZ.

So you don't have any solutions ?

    Hello,

I don't understand what you mean with "you think that I will put in front of the web the server that hosts the pieces of musqiues? "

well.. what you mean? if you want your songs to be playable, then need to be "accessible".. doesn't matter if it's in the same server or an external one.. do you know what I mean?

if what you want is to use our extension, but to be able to upload songs directly into an EXTERNAL server and stream from there, then you need custom coding made on the extension..

some kind of integration (for example, Amazon S3, which allows external API connections to store files).

that can be developed, of course, but it will require quite some work.

    Hello,

For the external, since the web.
    My songs are in http://zgm-consulting.com/musiques.
If you explore this path, you see the folder and files.

In IIS I have defined a virtual directory that goes to the music folder on another server. In fact the folder musique exist in other server.
    My website answers on zgm-consulting.com.

In the songs server, i entered http://zgm-consulting.com/musiques, however, It's impossible to scan this path ? Ok ? and in joomla, when i want to scearch one file, it's impossible ?

    Hello,

yes, but this is a WEB interface.
the "scan" function scans file in a server, it cannot "explore a website looking for links", which is what you're saying.

for a server to access and list another server's files without making a connection with it (using internal FTP through PHP for example), or building another type of script that would "read" a website, look for links, etc.

either way, this would require custom coding. what you are calling "scan" is not "scan", it's accessing a website through a web interface.
