I dont seem to understand how to customise the homepage intro text 1 is before the letter bar and intro text 2 is after the letter bar.
i copied the code from my j1.5 to j1.7 straight copy paste but the html code disappear after i save the options.
if i dont use html thn everything is over lapin each other.. what do i do.

thanks for the help its driving me insane as i had to redo the template cos i upgraded...

after a lot of research I found the problem. it is a new thing in Joomla 1.7, that requires to specify that HTML is allowed in this field.
I'll put this on the official release of course, but meanwhile can you just do this:
open /administrator/com_muscol/config.xml
go to lines 102 and 103
and add this into the fields:
filter="raw"
