I'm using 2.0 for the first time and I'm wondering how the songs folder can be layed out. For example: in the /songs folder, can I copy/paste my mp3 collection that is orginized by artist/albums? And how should I add 2 cd albums (like Elton Johns: Yellow Brick Road) Elton John/Yellow Brick Road/Disc1 and Elton John/Yellow Brick Road/Disc2

just try the folder "auto-scannig" feature: when you find the folder you want to be an album, you just choose it.

about CD1/CD2... well, you'll have to get creative here. my opinion is that 2cd albums should be on the same folder.. not in separate ones.. (that's how iTunes organizes it, for instance)

When I do that, I get the following two errors. ( thought I upgraded fine.)

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\\xampp\\htdocs\\joomla\\administrator\\components\\com_muscol\\controllers\\albums.php on line 1006

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\\xampp\\htdocs\\joomla\\administrator\\components\\com_muscol\\controllers\\albums.php on line 1016

First, thanks for your support. This product would be nothing without your wonderful support.

    back to the topic.

This isn't a published site, but here are the step by step screenshots of what I see.

    I see...

well, dont worry much about the "warning" (you can just disable warnings). the problem here is that it isn't founding any folders inside Peter Gabriel folder.

can it be a permissions thing? maybe this peter grabriel folder has no reading permissions and the folder inside cannot be found by Music Collection...

hey, just a test, can you replace the file
    /administrator/components/com_muscol/controllers/albums.php

for this one I send you attached? (unzip it first)

I dont know if it will work, it's just a test.

anyway, it would be awesome if you could test the scan function on a different server than your localhost :)

I changed the premissions to everyone/all. I replaced the album.php file.

When I scan, I do see the Peter Gabriel, with no Warnings, although I don't see anything happening when I click the Peter Gabriel link either. When I select Create a new album using this files I get the following error and all fields are blank.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\\xampp\\htdocs\\uhdoy\\administrator\\components\\com_muscol\\controllers\\albums.php on line 1055

I am running PHP Version 5.2.9 (not too outdated). Any other server I put this on will be like the one I have on this localhost.

no, not like. It will be LINUX instead of WINDOWS, my friend ;)

the WARNIGN you get now is normal: there are no songs.

I still think its a permision thing. maybe there's something on windows that does not let the folders to be correctly scanned... :S
