Hello Germi and thanks for being so helpful so far. I have another question concerning the search form in frontpage.

I installed the search bar module but it looks weird compared to the nice search form that comes when I added a menu item. I use jomsocial too.

I don´t know how to put it up in the front page as a module and i don´t know how to put the letter search in frontpage either.

Even though I set the parameters to show them all I can´t seem to find out how to put them in my frontpage.

thanks :)

hmmm... dont know.. can you post a link?

have you checked BOTH the global MC parameters AND the menu item specific parameters? maybe the menu item parameters are overriding the general parameters...

    hello there Germi,

I was abe to put the search artist in the front page in a way I´m satisfyed with, thanks.

I couldn't so far put the letter up in the front page.

I wish I could send you a link but the website is still under construction and still offine...

If you can think of anything that might help me putting the letters in frontpage I´d really appreciate it.

    hmm...

I only can tell you again about the parameters. The parameters are the ones that specify if the letter bar should show up or not in music collection (all pages, including the Music Collection frontpage...)

wait a second... maybe you mean the REAL "HOMEPAGE" of your site? I mean, not Music Collection's one?

if that's the case, you'd need a MODULE to show the letter bar... which does NOT exist at this moment...

it should be created custom if you needed it...

Yes, that´s what I meant, the real homepage of my website. I already looked for that specific module and couldn't find it

I´ll go into custom service and ask how much it is for them to do it.

    Thanks for the time Germi

I have another question Germi. In the search bar module, the "All Artist", "All genres" and the "Search songs" button aren´t translated, although in the muscol.ini I found All Artist, All genres and Search songs translated. Do you know where I can find the code where I can manually translate this? In the search artist module I mean.

    thanks

    hello!

1 - I just answered your custom service request with a proposal ;)

2 - yes, they don't appear translated because these sentences are in a module, not in the component. however translating it si very easy: you just need to create an additional language file, called
en-GB.mod_muscol_search_bars.ini (en-GB being the code of your language, of course) and just add the sentences there...
    ALL ARTISTS=Tutti artisti

    etc

    makes sense? :)

Germi, I didn´t quite understand...how do I create an additional language file? On the note pad? Open a new file, write and save as en-GB.mod_muscol_search_bars.ini?
    ALL ARTISTS=Todos os artistas
    ALL GENRES=Todos os gêneros
How about the button "search songs"?
Then I upload inside the language folder? The en-GB or pt-BR?

sorry about all the questions...I´m new at this :)

    yes!
exactly like you said. actually, you can duplicate any existing .ini file, and just change its name, then erase its content, and put yours

    the button search songs:

    SEARCH SONGS=Your translation

basically, you can translate everything you see, just by typing the label in UPPERCASE, on the left, and then translating on the right

    tell me if it works!
