No Valid Filetypes Found in this playlist

0
I reinstalled just the basics as according to the instructions. Still no joy. The player still reads no valid filetypes found in this playlist. Previous articles are fuzzy on the outcome to fix this.

My 1 album I have to test it out is in the admin backend so I have mp3's in there awaiting to be played.

Please help.

this message is NOT a an error, is just the normal message when no files are loaded to the playlist!! (look at our site! its the same)

just click on some "add to playlist" button to start populating your playlist!!

I finally saw WHERE the add to playlist feature was...after I posted. I missed it initially (and the first few times) on the front-end (I swear it wasn't there before) and spent some time on the back-end in vain (unless I missed that too).

Its a great tool! Sorry for being a pain and thanks for your time.

it's next to each song.. there is a (+) button.. to add to current playlist...

also, yo may want to create a menu item pointing to Music Collection > playlists to manage your playslits..

There doesn't appear to be a (+) button anywhere - please take a look here:

ok, in that case the answer it in one of this questions. make sure all your asnwers are YES. otherwise, you've find the reason!

    1) is the JWplayer plugin insalled?
    2) is it enabled?
    3) on Music Collection's global configuration params, it's the "show online player" param set to yes)
    4) on the PLUGIN params, is the "show add to playlist button" set to YES, and SAVED after that?

Also, is there anyway to have a default playlist when the site loads?

1 - no default playlist for now, sorry
2 - ok, songs not playing.. what is your "songs server" and "songs path" params set to? songs server should be EMPTY and songs path should probably be "/songs"...

you can also check your /songs folder just to make sure the files are in there...

I checked the plugin, the module is installed and enabled and I'm still getting no valid filetypes found in this playlist. Do you have a suggestion what to look for next?

ADVICE: Uploading too many files simultaneously can exhaust your server uploading limits and cause undesired behavior.
    upload_max_filesize defined in php.ini 2M

This seems to be the new message when I try to load a song up within the album tab. Do you know how to handle this?

    hello!

    1) this message (no filetypes...) is NOT an error: it only indicates that the playlist is EMPTY. try to add some item into the playlist...

    2) this other message (uploading too many...) is just an advise (it's always there). so you cannot upload files bigger than 2M. to change this, you must access to your php.ini config file to increase that value. do you know how to do it?

okay..the next with this kind of problem...

    - when I try to add Songs...the playlist will still be empty.
    - adding a youtube video instead..works finde...
    - open the song-website and there is no button just the text "The player will show in this paragraph"

everything is installed, enable..songs are in the correct folder... and so on.

    any suggestions?
