well, you can do ti for sure.. but.. you'll have to create the playlists yourself...

did you mean automatic playlists? I'm afraid there are no automatic playlists...

No not modyfied. Just to Listen! Without registration withoun anything. I want on the first page to put some links. For example best 10 rock songs ever or most selling artist and when you click on the link a playlist should open with all the songs i have put in!
    Is this possible?

    of course is possible!!!
it was so obvious to me that I didnt undestand what you wanted :)

its very easy, just create links pointing to a playlist. example:

    indec.php?option=com_muscol&view=playlist&id=3

(3 is the particular playlist id)

Maybe another stupid question: I create the playlist but how can i save it?
Because i must save the playlist somehow so other people can have access from other pc's.

Trying to fathom out how to add songs to a playlist - all I see is the option to delete a song. Also can't figure out how to actually create new playlists from the front end (which I believe is a current feature) or from the back end (which I don't think is implemented - not sure why though?)

to access the playlists on the frontend you must create a new menu item pointing to

    Music Collection -> playlists

from there you'll find all the playlsits, plud the options to edit / reorder items / delete / select playlist etc

I figured this out, but I have a playlistS menu item set up, and I see no way of altering the name of the default one (or deleting it all together), or creating new ones. Common sense would suggest having some way to manage this in the back end would be sensible, however assuming they're held in the database I can go in and hack them that way, but it's a bit of an arse about.

I don't even see any option to add a new playlist - I would have expected a button or a link but there doesn't appear to be one (or am I being thick?) - every option about playlists in the parameters is set to allow them.

Have now figured out how to add songs to a playlist, but I want some to be set up by default, EG CD1, CD2, all tracks, etc. and will then probably turn off the feature to allow people to create their own. Really struggling with this not being a back end feature though :|

    Any help much appreciated!

Still haven't figured out this issue regarding creating playlists - I'm sure (like the other issues) I'm missing something fundemental and simple, but I don't see any back end system to manage the playlists, or any front end way to create new playlists, delete the default playlist, etc.

Can't really put the site live until I figure this one out and then can lock it down so that people can't create any playlists. All I want is to create one, maybe two playlists.

Edit: Less important now, I wrote an sql query to accomplish what I needed in the absence of being able to figure this out .. but to know how to do it would be quite helpful.
