error with component

hello, I put the component, and i display the a-z bar, then when I press a letter and display the list of artists and i want to go to the site of the artist "x" the site says "500 - Layout "" not found" :S i don't understand what is the problem

    Go to parameters of MC and add the Default itemID. You can find the itemid of MC in your menu manager.

    did you correctly SAVED your paramters? (both on the menu item & the component-wide params)
