I have uploaded an album and it plays good. I uploaded another single, and it will not play. Both albums are under the songs folder.

I can not get this song to play in chrome with html5:

http://kevinbluemel.com/music/singles/sailing-the-forgotten

It however plays fine in other browers. The other album,

http://kevinbluemel.com/music/studio-albums/kevin-bluemel

Plays just fine in chrome with html5. Why would just the 1 single not play? Please help.

The video pages themselves are part of the easyblog component. The video index page is a custom layout i designed for easyblog.

:S :S :S not a clue. this is weird, weird.
    look:

    http://kevinbluemel.com/songs/sailingtheforgotten/sailing.mp3

the file exists. it opens with any other browser.. but it's like chrome doesn't like it.
    honestly I have no clue.

can you try to upload just a different song and see what happens? maybe there is some metadata related to the encoding of the song that Chrome doesn't like...

    what's the bitrate?

this is really strange. it is NOT related to Music Collection, as you can see, because if you simply open the URL of the song (no joomla, no music collection, just the plain and simple song URL) with Chrome, it just won't play. but it plays in firefox!!!! :S :S

You're right. Good point. I will have to see about getting a copy of the original and converting it down to an mp3 myself to see if it makes a difference. Maybe something got messed up on the original conversion.

I ripped a new mp3 for the single. Not sure how they differ, as the tags as well as the attributes are identical on both, but this one seems to work. :)

Must be something picky with chrome that I will need to investigate further if it happens again.
