Artist List Order

How can I change the order in which the artist list is displayed in both the Front and Back end. I've got over 2000 artists and the search is unbearable.

    Hello Daniel,

    the artist list is ordered by name (that is, by letter, and then name). how you want to order it?

    Not on mine. If I click a letter on the search bar, it brings up artists that start with that letter, but from there it's a jumbled mess.

    if you haven't changed the code, then the artist order is always 1) letter and then 2) classification name (which is usually the same as "name" unless you change it)..
