Any suggestions to get the FTP client in the component to work? I have tried multiple ways and are unable to get this to work.

Would really love to get this component up and running.

thanks in advance.

    what you mean?

if you want to use FTP, just upload the songs by FTP and then wirte the filename on the field for it on the song backend form. you know what I mean?

    what is exactly not working?

I understand what you mean... I have attached a screen capture to assist. I was under the impression that I could use the browse button to navigate to my local drive and use this as the way to upload files.... it would seem to be a little quicker.

I think you forgot the image
of course you can use the upload button to upload the files... It doesnt work? Have you created the /songs folder on the root of your site and gave it writing permissions?

have you tried to upload a SMALL file? maybe the problem is that you are trying to upload files bigger than the maximum permitted by your PHP

try to upload a small file, like 200kb or like.

that's what I thought too...php upload is set to 8000 kB. I sent you login details to your email so you might want to check yourself if you find the time. don't rush it's not that important unless many other have the same problem...

I am also having the same problem. I cannot use the upload via the songs tab. I checked the folder permissions and event created the songs folder with 777 permissions on /var/www, /var/www/html, and /var/www/html/mywebdir. I still cannot use the browse button to upload songs.

    hello

first advice, try to upload a SMALL file to see if it's a size issue.

also, the folder has to be at the root of our joomla installation (at the same level of the oflder administrator or components or modules)

check the permissions AND the owner/group

also, of course, the folder name has to he songs AND the parameter "songs path", on music collection backend, has to be "/songs"

can you post a link to your site?

    cheers,
    Germi

Same problem here with 777 permissions enabled on public_html/songs/

    File uploaded is only 3MB?

    Ideas?

Also can't get the player working for songs in the frontend as well.
