hi!i had try to install the music collection component (com_muscol_2.2.1_community_pro) to my joomla site (localhost) and the error appear {There was an error uploading this file to the server}. How to solved it? i have read all the posts and try to change the php.ini file,(file upload from 2M to 4M) but still can't upload the component.


Please help.

    are you sure the new values are being considered? you may need to restart your apache server.

    I am getting the same problem when I tried to install the com_muscol_2.2.1_pro_1.6 and this is the message I keep getting after only a few seconds: "There was an error uploading this file to the server". CAN YOU PLEASE HELP? HOW DO I RESOLVE THIS ISSUE? the website is www.aliisabella.com I am installing this to joomla 1.7 if that makes a difference?

    you need to set the upload_max_filesize on your PHP config at least to 4M !

    Hi.. I'm having similar issue, but not getting any error message.. i can see my song getting uploaded, but once it completes, the uploaded file not shown .. is it because of any uploaded limit i have?

    it may be. can you tell me what is your upload_max_filesize PHP variable? (you can see this on the joomla backend -> info -> php information)

    maybe it's the max_upload_filesize..

    it should be bigger than 2M (4M for instance) can you check this?

    on the PHP configuration...

    yes. i have changed the file max upload to 8M ( as I attach on my 1st post). it is correct to set the max_upload_filesize in php.ini?
