error: This playlist is not a valid XML file - from album view, due to an incompatibility with other plugins...
i just found that "Google SiteMaps - Verification Key Plugin" is not compatible with music collection. I couldn't play any songs from album layout until i deleted the folowing files: googlesitemap.php, googlesitemap.xml, from joomla_root/plugins/system folder. so i just uninstalled this plugin and is all working ok!

its not actually an incompatibility. the problem is that some components or plugins (like this you said) try to add headings to the XML files generated in joomla. the playlists are XML files and should not contain any head tags. so, the best thing would be try to find the place where this plugin is adding this undesired heading, and tell it not to do it if the file that is being created is an XML playlist from Music Collection...
anyway, thanks for the advice! this can very helpful to man people
