0lets see: what exactly do you want to show? just an album?
what you see on www.joomlamusicsolutions.com/en/music-collection.html is a CONTENT PLUGIN (called "showalbum") wich you can download on our downloads are (plugins section) -

0Germi i found it...
I placed the code in the menu intro text...
Two more questions
1) the letter bar does include the album or artists when clicking on there appropriate letter..is there a parameter for it?
2)For playing the album music files from an external file where do you place the exterenal file location?
Thnx in Advance.. -

01) I dont really know what you mean. when you click a letter, all the artist classified under that letter are shown.
2)you have many options. if ALL the files are going to be on an external server, then you can use the "songs server" MC parameter. if only certain songs are streamed for an external server, the you can write the path to the song directly on the song field for it (for instance, h t t p : / / www.externalserver.com/songs/song_sample.mp3 )
(dont forget the http)
if Music Collection detects that you are writting a full path, then for that song it wont consider the "songs server" parameter -

0now I see what you meant, the letter bar is not working!! :S :S really weird. did you installed version 1.5 from zero? what joomla version are you running?
I see you changed some template (for instance, album template). did you changed anything else? it seems like maybe you erased something you shouldnt!!
about the external server streaming: the cause might the permissions. all the flash players in the world (including JW, of course) require a CROSSDOMAIN.XML file on the external server in order to allow streaming.
take a look at this: http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/wiki/flashsecurity
so you may need to add a crossdomain.xml file on the server in order to allow external streams. -

0Germi everything works fine now except the playing the songs from another hosting account....
In the MC parameters in the "song server" field i have placed the
the address where the songs are hosted http://www.mysite.gr/songs/">http://www.mysite.gr/songs/
I have added the crossdomain.xml at the root of the joomla installation at http://www.mysite.gr
which is:
[hide]
"
xml version="1.0"?
!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM
"http://www.adobe.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
cross-domain-policy
allow-access-from domain="mykarpathos.net"/
allow-access-from domain="www.mykarpathos.net"/
cross-domain-policy>
"[/hide]
Finally at the song file at MC component i have added the file "prologue-introduction.mp3" which is the same as the one in http://www.mysite.gr/songs/">http://www.mysite.gr/songs/
But song still not play...could you tell me if there something wrong..
Thnx -

0do the songs work if you stream from the same server? do you have access (permission) on www.mysite.gr/songs/ ?? (I mean, do you see the songs if you write this path on your browser?) -

0OK let's take it step by step:
[hide]
1)At server configuration field i have placed:
www.allaboutkarpathos.gr/songs/">http://www.allaboutkarpathos.gr/songs/
At the first song path i have placed the file name
prologue-introduction.mp3 so the links show an mp3
www.allaboutkarpathos.gr/songs/">http://www.allaboutkarpathos.gr/songs/prologue-introduction.mp3
2)I already placed the CROSSDOMAIN.XML in the roort of joomla installation at www.allaboutkarpathos.gr as said before...
xml version="1.0"
DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM
"http://www.adobe.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd"
cross-domain-policy>
allow-access-from domain="mykarpathos.net"/
allow-access-from domain="www.mykarpathos.net"/
cross-domain-policy
3)Check the page where the album is
http://www.mykarpathos.net/index.php?option=com_muscol&view=album&id=2&Itemid=119
Trying to play the first song which is on remote server
the status bar shows the address but does not play the song
See attached files mock ups of the backend [file name=mock_ups.zip size=39829]http://www.joomlamusicsolutions.com/images/fbfiles/files/mock_ups.zip[/file][/hide] -

0hey, wait a second. it is tying to reach this file:
http://www.allaboutkarpathos.gr/songs/songs/prologue-introduction.mp3
notice that double SONGS folder... it shouldn be there!!
if you already have the /songs on the songs path parameter, you dont need to write it also on the songs server parameter... -
