it depends on the server. are you running any SEF engine?

just the standard joomla sef.
It had been working ok and after I made some changes to options for the component, I started to have errors, even backtracking the changes hasn't helped and now I find the option for image in player won't 'work' - can't get rid of the image

first of all, disable the sef and see it the player works. for my experience, 90% of players not working is because of the sef.

yes, it's weird. I had everything working perfect - no problems.
I decided to try some of the different options for display in the component parameters, after that it seems to have gone strange. eg I have 'no' images set for the player, however, even after clearing every conceivable cache, I can't get a player to display without images in both player winder and song thumbnail.

Other changes 'stick', but this could be the issue ??

I dont know, but its definitely some change you did that made the pleyer not work. if we find out wich of the changes made it fail, we'll be able to solve it.

anyway, I really dont think the problem is any of the parameters...

did you did ANY other change on your joomla? chache config, sef...

you should try to go back to the "working" state.
what did you change on the parameters?

Germi, I've made a login for you - it's a fresh joomla standard install and you are the only 'added' component. I have many joomla sites, so it's operating OK.
This will save you a heap of time and words if you have a quick look as you may notice something I'm oblivious to. I'll email the login details back to you

Just for anyone following this thread - the answer was the song file had somehow moved outside of the 'songs' folder and 2032 was the error for the file not found.
