Hello,

as of know apple iphone/ipad don't support the flash based player. Is it possible to have option to use HTML5 (j-query) based player along with flash based player.

something to get you started it's free, and jquery libraries are already available in Joomla.

I am not saying add this functionality right now, but it's something for you think about.

After the launch of Ipad the market for HTML5 supported devices is overwhelming..

Good Luck.. :)

HTML5 would be nice, but it is still a very long ways out from being fully finished. The jw player that is used in this app does have a html5 based player that will fall back to the flash on browsers that don't support html5 yet.

I found their write up on what has been done so far with html5 and what is still needed to be done very interesting reading:

    hello

yes, this is something we have been thinking for a while. we are working on a solution for future version.

HTML5 is the future of course, and flash will end up disapearing.

however, just as greengeek says, it is still a long way until its finished.

we will be working on it

@greengeek: interesting links! i didnt know longtail had a html5 player!!
