Is there an advanced search features that allows me to search by label?
In the search feature I could use tag field to include labels, I presume. Do you use language.php files for front end field label variables? If that is the case I suppose I could change all tags field to display all labels in the front end.

0tags are defined by yourself, so they can be WHATEVER you want. labels for instance. you can add as many as you want, no problem.
it's not a language file, it's a whole "tag manager" in the backend
in your case, you could use it as a "label manager"
then all you have to do is go to the language file and replace all "Tag" to "Label". easy!!
