Pre-buy questions

Dear staff of JoomlaThat,

I would like to know a couple of things before I buy Music Collection Community Professional + Content Statistics (if necessary).

1.- Is it possible for users to upload songs without having to add an album? I mean, in case they upload a single.
2.- I want to run an online demoratic ranking of emerging artists, so I need to keep a track and to have reports about how many 'votes' or 'likes' has every song in the database had in specific periods of time (ranges), example: in a week, a month, etc; is this possible? And, is it possible to track Facebook likes or maybe having the users logged using OpenID to obtain such statistics without asking the voters to register? Finally, is it possible to use some cheat safe mechanism to collect such information?

Thank you very much for your attention.

Sincerely,

Víctor

One more question, for now... Is it possible to embed the songs on Facebook, Twitter or other sites so that people can listen without having to visit the website?

    Thanks again.

    1) they can upload just a song through the Song form, but Music Collection will anyway create an album (internally) to hold the song.

    2) yes, it is possible with Content Statistics (we have a module called "ranking" module for that, which can count votes (there are no "likes")
there's no facebook like tracking. what you mean "cheat safe mechanism"?

    3) no, it's not, sorry.

    Hello.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

With 'cheat safe mechanism' I mean to accept only one vote per user. Is it possible to have voters logged on through OpenID or any other way to have an easy but reliable voting system?

About the 3rd question, is it possible with further development of just out of the question?

    Again, thank you very much.

users can only vote 1 time per album (or song)

about 3rd question: well, this would be difficult. in twitter, it can't be directly shared (Twitter doesn't allow that).

In Facebook, it is possible that they allow that via some app, but it would not be an easy development. it would require more work than it looks like (asuming it's actually possible)
