Hello!
My name is Paul. I am looking to build a music community in Joomla and I think your component looks perfect. I want user profiles and upload/download capability of music.
I understand that many or all of my desired functions listed below are very demanding and require customization. If any of these functions are known to be impossible or in any way incompatible with your system, please let me know.
1) Communication with database concerning tracking the number of downloads per individual audio file and per artist. And track IP address of downloader.
2) Software-enforced upload policy containing a checksum for duplicate uploads and file specifications. Specifications are as follows: WAV file with a bit rate of 1411, 16 bit sample size, a sample rate of 44.100 kHz and they must be in stereo. If user attempts to upload file that does not meet specifications, upload does not proceed and a friendly error message is displayed.
3) Immediately after upload: Back end converts from wav to MP3. MP3 available on front end for streaming.
4) Integration with internet radio, that is also compatible with smart phones such as iPhone, Android phones, blackberry, etc...
5) Player is fixed on homepage, has periodically streaming advertisements like Pandora.
6) integration with Facebook using its Open Graph protocol similar to Pandora.
7) ability for uploader to mark file as explicit if necessary
8) ability for any user to flag content (community can police itself according stated policies)
9) Internet Radio specifications:
“stations” in internet radio come from:
USER INPUT
- Ability to create playlists - like iTunes
- Ability to select and store “favorite songs”
- Ability for artists to “follow” other artists, and subscribe to receive updates of new releases
WITHOUT USER INPUT
- Ability to select by genre
- Ability to select multiple genres to be mixed together
-Ability to shuffle All songs in database to discover new artists

01) yes. already built in in our 2.1 version!
2) uff.. not available out of the box, of course... you need (high!) customization for this.
3) wow... I'm not sure that this is even possible using PHP. I think it ain't...
4) "radio" is a difficult concept. however in a "near enough" future, the player will be HTML5 compatible so it will be able to play on iPhone, etc
5) difficult... you can do this, but just adding the ads yourself as "songs" and making a default "playlist" play at the homepage... still needs a bit of custom

0Well I am a bit frustrated too when purchase this component that their player give just a few music control:
* Play
* Previous
* Next
* Stop
* Time Frame
that's ally, a bit funny.... and it's good if it appear with:
* List Item Title
* Clickable list item to play it
* Music Control for "Repeat & Shuffle" ....
But seem like Joomla Music Solution can't do it ... never seen they solve this problem nor respond to the request.... they can't do it mabe.
