Looking for a kick butt template to install the Music Collection and Jom Social into. Everytime i find a template I like.. one aspect or another does not work... The template I use now at www.radiougly.com I cant get jom social to work at all.

Purchased a jom social "purpose built" template.. then music collection doesnt work.. that template is here> www.juddstavern.com "quickstart template only"

not afraid to pay for something that works.. would like to use all aspects of Jom Social and Music collection.. Intergrated into one great looking site.

Thanks for your time!!!!!

I am a big fan of the yootheme templates found over at www.yootheme.com They are very clean and make joomla respond nice and quick. I haven't had any issues with them using jom social and most addons work without issue on them as well.

Music Collections MOSTLY works with the ones I have used. I don't know if this is strictly an issue with music collections or a combination of the two (I suspect it might have to do with the javascript or ajax library that some of the mods use in music collection). It seems that some templates that use mootools that comes bundled with joomla, or different ajax libraries may have some conflicting issues with some of music collections. So far everything works for me in music collections except, 1. The random albums module in carousel mode and 2. my player on the album pages showing up on apple devices (again I don't know if this is tied to my template or not, or strictly a music collections issue). Everything else, as far as I can tell, seams to work about the same as it does on the demo site here.

Two that fit nicely in the music area are:

    http://www.yootheme.com/demo/themes/joomla/2011/corona/index.php?preset=preset10

    and

    http://www.yootheme.com/demo/themes/joomla/2010/vox/index.php?preset=music

Though if your into designing your own and know css fairly well, i would recommend sticking to the templates from Nano on to the newer ones. They are on an updated warp framework which is very slick.

    hello!

    thanks @greengeek for your suggestions.

Music Collection will work mainly on every template. you may only have some issues with the Random Albums module. if you do, let me know. usually just changing the order in which the JQUery JS files are loaded, this can be solved. or just adding a JQuery.noConflict(); statement.
