This seems to be an issue - I've been pouring over the forums. Not answers to give just yet. Germi has said it was a Firefox issue - but I have a fresh install and it works just fine.

The problem I have is on a site I upgraded both Joomla ver 2.5.7 and the latest Muscol. If I have more time to dig in - and - find the issue I'll post the solution - but until then....try a fresh install and I mean fresh everything...

but, are you using the player in HTML5 mode? (firefox does NOT play mp3 files in HTML mode, the browser doesn't have the liscense for MP3...)

    hello Germi,
as I said I have only installed the package Music Collection of joomla 1.7 on linux server,,
the rest I do not know much, I'm not a programmer ...
I would like to understand if there is a solution,
if you need to install it differently?, if you have to use other audio formats? .. to avoid problems with different browsers.

    thanks

the problem is very easy: you have set up the HTML5 player for all browsers. in Chrome it works fantastic. but in Firefox it can't play MP3 (firefox can't play MP3)

please go to the JWplayer plugin parameters and set the firefox option (also IE) to OFF

If it helps anyone reading this in the future, I had this issue after I installed a new template and solved it by disabling a plugin called "SC JQuery" that was messing with my scripts.
