I have successfully installed all the other community builder modules etc... but when I try to install myalbums I get the below error:

Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.
Path does not have a valid package.

I extracted the zip & I am able to see the following files:
[ul]index.html[/ul]
[ul]myalbums.php[/ul]
[ul]myalbums.xml[/ul]

I also tried installing from a directory and that didn't work either.

Are you installing this plugin using the CB plugin installer or are you trying to install with the Joomla installer?

Use the CB plugin installer and that should rectify your issue.

it's just a plugin installer that you can access directly from CB.

I've been looking around for this error you have, and I really don't know what the problem can be...

if you want to send me joomla access I'll take a look in situ for you...

    I'm having the same problem:
my error says:Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.

You are talking about a "CB plugin installer". What CB stands for? can you give more clear instructions?

CB stands for Community Builder. Found here:

    http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/210/details

Plugin to integrate MC (Music Collection, ie this component) with CB located here:

    http://www.joomlamusicsolutions.com/downloads/doc_details/56-community-builder-my-albums-plugin-for-music-collection-2.html?lang=en

Note it does require the Community editions of MC to work. You should have both MC community edition and CB installed before you install the plugin for it to work correctly.

More detailed information can be found on the support page on this website located here:

    Thank you greengeek.

    I have MC community edition.

This may be a stupid question, sorry!
So, if I have CB plugin already installed ( I have already installed everything I got with MC), should I uninstall it first, and once I have CB installed then go ahead and reinstall??

    Thanks
    BJ
