where does it make you upload a picture? in which page?
to upload songs using mobile should be exactly the same as in desktop.. but how do you select the file to upload? what device are you using?

I created a MC page for front end users to create an album. When i click the "choose file" button via mobile the only option i get is to upload an existing picture/video or take one with my camera. No option to upload a music file.

well that is probably because in the mobile there is no "file system"! so it probably just takes you to your photo library (or make a new one). is that an iPhone, I presume?

it's not any limitation from our part! it's just that you can't upload files froma mobile, only fotos!
