Song Plays Statistic

I am using Joomla 1.6.3 and the latest build of MC. The "Song Plays" statistic is only counting songs that are played on the actual song page. If the play button is hit on the artist or album page, the stat is not being counted. This was working fine previously.

UPDATE...
Turns out this is related to this thread...
http://www.joomlamusicsolutions.com/en/forum/joomla-1-6/javascript-bugs-on-some-artist-pages.html

The culprit is apostrophes in the file name. Something needs to be done about this. Either the software needs to recognize apostrophes correctly or the software needs to remove them from the filename when the song is uploaded or imported. FYI, one apostrophe in one song of an Album affects every song of the entire album.

Ok, is there a file I can edit without redoing the install and editing the templates again?

    On a side note...
On the download pages, is there a way to see which version has been last modified? All I see is a date added column. And these columns do not seem to sort correctly when I click the column links. And I guess the version numbers do not need to match when downloading the component, modules, or plugins? Since I am using modules labeled 1.5.0 with component 2.2.0. I don't know. It just feels the longer down the road of development, the more convoluted the documentation becomes.

Then I look at the Features and Support menus above. Why two different links? Instead these two menus should be under one menu labeled documentation. In my opinion, documentation needs to be cleaned up. This would stop many of the time wasting threads in the forum.

Any ways. just thinking out loud here.

documentation needs to be cleaned up. that's a fact. I know that...
features and support were intended as two separate sections, but finally it's true that the articles in these sections could be in one single category.

I'm working to merge it all up into one "users guide", well structures and clear.

about downloads: yes, version numbers do not need to match. when a version is required, it is said clear , like "this plugins needs MC 2.2 to work".

since the newest upgrade, downloads has been partially moved to Your Orders, as you know. there you will find all the latest versions of everything. Downloads will disapear for that matter, containin ONLY language files and third party extension files.

there's NOT a single file you can edit about the other issue. there are several files modified. but NONE of them is a "layout" file.. so you cna just backup your layout files in a separate folder and then restore them, after the new installation.

by layout files I mean the files inside the /tmpl folders, inside each diferent /view (I believe you know what I'm talking about) :)
