JW Player

Hi,

I have been struggling for a week now with no success on getting the jw player to work. When I click on a song the page just refreshes. I have downloaded and enabled the module and the plugin. All the module just has a message that says "show player in popup." When I click on that a separate window opens that says "task queue failed at step 5: playlist could not be loaded: xml could not be parsed or playlist was empty."

I do not know how to create any playlists but assumed that I still should be able to play an individual song.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    hello

well, to populate a playlist you just need to click on the ADD to playlist button, and to play a song on any page, you just need to click on play button...!

I asume you have installed the jwplayer plugin, right? can you point me to your site?

    Thank you for your response.

After spending a few more hours trying to solve the issue I was able to figure it out. I had done everything right but unfortunately the template that I was using did not allow Music Collection to operate properly because certain elements such as the "playlist button" and even the "play" button would not show up. A new template fixed the issue.

Once again, thanks a lot for your reply.

you are using WMA files which are NOT supported by Flash player! you have to use a mp3 file for instance.

    Hi Germi,

I'm working on site using MAMP testing server and have come across the same, "task queue failed at step 5..." error. However, single files are being played fine using album level single audio player but playlist has issue.

I've noticed that I can add songs to the playlist and "on the go" playlist is working, if i go to "on the go" playlist using menu item, i can play individual songs in the playlist using the player available at the top of playlist but JW Module player isn't working. It continuously shows this error, in both pop out and restored state.

    Please help.

    Thanks.

I installed the following five plugins that i downloaded from my order page:

    [ul]plg_jwplayer_2.2.2_1.6[/ul]
    [ul]plg_muscol_1.0.1_1.6[/ul]
    [ul]plg_muscol_facebook_1.0.0_1.6[/ul]
    [ul]plg_search_albums_2.2.0_1.6[/ul]
    [ul]plg_showalbum_1.1.0_1.6[/ul]

Is the plugin you've mentioned different? Could I please have a link to that?

@romaelz the plugins are correct. are you working on localhost? the problem could be related to subdomain (so, the root of your site is actually a subfolder?)

@degarrin do I still have access to your site?

We are having one other issue related to this as well, besides the one previously mentioned. The module box is appearing very large on our page, but it was not doing this before. I have attached a screen shot for you...

Yes, apparently we had that Widgetkit setting on. I have now turned it off because we weren't using the Widgetkit video option anyway, and the box has disappeared. So that part of our issue is gone. Thank You!

Germi, I don't know if you went in and fixed something or if it is because we have completely removed Yootheme from our site, but we are no longer having any issues with the JW Player. The module is working just fine now. Thanks for your help!
