which version of Music Collection are you using?

I have this same issue with the latest version of MC if I just do a full scan from the songs folder. Anything that was already scanned in gets added as a duplicate.

I just try with a new folder letter V in /songs folders with inside 2 songs : Village People-Album-N°-Title.mp3

I click in V folder"Process all these files using their ID3 tags creating new allbums and artists if necessary"
Message : Artist created , Album created, 2 Songs saved

I add in the folder V : Visage-Visage-05-Fade to grey.mp3
I click in V folder "Process all these files using their ID3 tags creating new allbums and artists if necessary"
Message : Artist created , Album created, 3 Songs saved

I change nothing in folder V
I click in V folder "Process all these files using their ID3 tags creating new allbums and artists if necessary"
message : 3 Songs saved

Result : I have 3 time the same songs of Village People and 2 time the same song of Visage
"Process all these files using their ID3 tags creating new allbums and artists if necessary" add all songs existing in the datebase.
Artists and Albums database, it's OK !

About your response Germinal, i can't see "recursive scan option"

If i retry to scan only root /songs folder wiith "Process folders and subfolders using ID3tags" work !
No double songs. All is good.
What is the interest to click "Process all these files using their ID3 tags creating new allbums and artists if necessary"
About new tags inside files ?

Now i use structure by letter A-Z and # in songs folder :
folder A:/all artists A-Album-N°-Title.mp3
folder B:/all artists B-Album-N°-Title.mp3
etc

thanks for the info. sorry for the confusion, by "recurring" I meant the LAST option, called "process folders and subfolders using ID3 tags"
can you try this one? it should not duplicate entries.. only add the new ones...
