None of my users can upload music from the front end and i cant either.. do i need to change the accessible filetypes or anything like that? I have successfully uploaded one song and that was a while ago my max_upload_size is 100mb.. obviously plenty for a few songs and the uploading process takes an extraordinary long time to even reload the page and when the process seems that it is complete it reloads to the home page of my website with no new songs added?? Im completely lost as to what to do any help would be tremendously appreciated.

Try chmodding your songs folder to 777.

CHMOD meaning what? just changing the permissions to 777? or is there something else involved when you say CHMODing>?

And yes i did change my songs folder permissions to 777 and there was still no song uploaded.. it always reloads me back to my home screen and does the same even in the administrator back end.

Also could it be due to my actions of deleting the "tags", "review", etc parts of the album details>? I highly doubt this is it but I'm very confused.

    hello!

this looks like a filesize problem, actually...

what is your system limit? what size are the files you're trying to upload? have you tried to upload SMALL files? (less than 1Mb)

I actually have my max_upload_filesize set to 100M so i doubt it is that.. i may just reinstall the compnent.. i dont know what else to do.. and does this component allow for any other files than MP3's such as m4a, mpeg, etc.?? maybe i dont have those selected or something. thank you for your time.

I dont think reinstalling will make any difference..

I'm a bit worried about this. I would like to try it myself...

is it possible that you can send me a link to your site, and maybe give me access data if necessary? maybe, just taking a look, I will realise what is the problem!

The solution to this is that along with making your max_upload_filesize bigger you also need to make sure that your max_post_size is also bigger.. you can find both of these in your php.ini file.
