JQuery error after site migration Issue

Hello,

Merry Christmas to all!

We recently migrated our website to Joomla 3.9 and now have issues when loading JQuery in the Music Collection component.

The issue seems to be directly isolated to the MusCol component as I don't see this error anywhere else. I've attached a screenshot of the problem using Chrome console.

It seems MusCol won't load the JW Player or any of the albums/songs when searching either. What could be the issue? We are using PHP 7.4 btw.

P.S. Please this is a matter of urgency.

- Regards

It's working now. Had to change the base url of the JS files.

    Hi Mark,

    Just for your information..
My site also runs on the latest J3 version now 3.10.4 and before that it ran on J3.9 as well.
I never had any problems as you describe here, I also have jquey set to on in the configuration from MusCol.
Did you try it with the setting set to off?

Maybe do a reinstall of MusCol latest version to try?? Also I use a gantry 5 template as you do I see. which version of Gantry you use? I know 5.5.... does have issues with J3
Maybe install the latest version of 5.5 currently 5.5.7 But as far as I know the gantry team advises version 5.4 for J3 sites.. Mine runs fine on 5.5.7 though .

Not a precise solution for your problem but hopefully it helps..

Hi Apple, I appreciate the help. I'm also using Gantry 5.5.7 on a Cloudflare setup and I'm receiving occasional 503 errors when loading the template in the backend. This never happened before migrating. This is strange as I'm on a good Cloud based server and not even using half of the resources.

I've already tried a fresh install of MusCol to no avail.

Since I posted this I noticed a similar conflict with a Cookie Consent plugin. The popup appears but won't disappear after clicking "Accept". This leads me to believe there's a site-wide issue at play.

    I've tried the following:

    1. Installing JQuery Easy Plugin
    2. Fresh install of MusCol files
    3. Placing MusCol system plugin in last position
    4. Disabled individual plugins one by one

    So far, nothing is helping.

One thing I noticed is the site is trying to load the following page

    .../index.php?option=com_muscol&task=get_album_songs&id=xxx

But is returning a 404 error. Is something stopping this page from loading?

Mark, I am not a coding guru so cant help you out exactly here... but trying to think along with you..

But what happens if you delete id 15761 completely..
And maybe a reinstall of Joomla over the new site or did you try that also..

Hi Apple, I've tried but it still won't load.

I still have a test environment set-up on a different server and the link above loads perfectly. It seems to be an issue after migration.
