Change the Pagination Task

Is there a way to change the look of the pagination to make it look more like the directory buttons? Currently, it just has the number 1 and 2 vertical. Is there a way to make it horizontal?

    You see how the numbers 1,2,3 are vertical. How can I make it horizontal , similar to ebay
