Shipping address

Hi, your system works great but I'm having a major problem: orders and invoices don't show the Shipping address. The systems pulls the Billing address from VM but not shipping. Please advise how can I add the shipping address to the order or invoice.
(we are using the invoices as Quotes so we need to know the shipping address in order to quote for the shipping costs)

Thank you,

Andrea

    Hello Andrea,

When you create a order in VirtueMart, the invoice created doesn't contain the shipping address. It must contain the billing address.

The way this works is that the "bill to" information in VirtueMart invoice is mapped to the "bill to" section in Invoice Manager invoices. The shipping address is not present in the Invoice Manager invoice.

Please, tell me if this solves your question,
    Joan

Hi Germinal Camps, we need both Billing and Shipping because we need to be able to determine the shipping costs. Can you help with that?

    Hello Andrea,

In Invoice Manager there's no place (on the invoice) for the shipping address. it cannot be imported with the system as-is.
To allow this a modification would need to be done in one of these two ways:

    1. modify the VM plugin in order to import the shipping address data into an unused field in the invoice ("Notes", probably), and use it to print it in the invoice template.

    2. or to really add new fields for "shipping address" into invoice manager, and also modify the VM plugin to import this info into the new added fields.

both options would require custom coding because they are not built. The second option is of course more complete, but also would require more coding...

Thank you Germinal Camps. #2 would be my choice because the vendor needs to see the shipping address in the back end so he knows where it's being delivered and in order to quote for shipping. Are you guys able to add the coding to the system? It would substantially improve your product. Please let me know. Thank you,

    Andrea
