I don't know how to create a discount

I am looking all over the place the Invoice Component but I can't see anyplace to create discounts, just taxes.

Could someone let me know where to create a discount?

    the "taxes" and "discounts" are essentially the same: simply the discounts are negative in amount, and the taxes positive. that's it! :)

    I have a recurring invoice that i had to discount one instance of. after the invoice was generated($75.00) i edited the invoice setting a discount of $15 to bring the total to $60. the invoice adjusted; however the customer was forced to pay $75 to close the invoice? has anyone else seen this or is there a fix?

    have you changed the amount of the PAYMENT?
    the payment needs to be changed too...
