Can you view stats per user?

My client wants to be able to view stats per user for K2 item. Can I see which user visited which K2 item and how many times? They want some itemized statistics because they use K2 as a documentation system for their software. Is there a demo that can show me how this works? Maybe a demo site where I can have admin access?

    hello!

YES, this is possible. you can filter results by a specific user. so for instance you can have "Top K2 articles viewed by the user 564 last week" or things like that. no problem, it's build out-of-the-box

we don't have a live admin demo yet. And the User's guide (where we will show all the options) is still under construction...

but I'll make some screenshots and publish them right away.

as you may see, this site is very new! actually, you are the first user to make a question on the forum!

    congratulations and welcome!

UPDATE: I already made some screenshots so you can see some options of the modules: please see:

if you have more questions, please let us know!

    best,

Ok, great! I tried out the free Joomla stats component and liked the functionality it had, but it didn't keep track on individual K2 items. Our client uses K2 as a documentation system and wants to know who visited exactly which K2 item and how many times did they visit it? The problem with the Joomla stats component is that it recorded all K2 page visits as the user visiting the documentation menu item and not each specific K2 item.

So you can see individual users' stats which is good. Can you also view individual item stats? For example, could I look at K2 item id 100 and see who viewed and how many times they viewed it? Maybe even when they viewed it?

I'm happy to have popped your forum cherry!

    absolutely yes, you can.

this is the main feature of Content Statistics, and that's why we're so proud about it. it registers CONTENT statistics (I mean, INDIVIDUAL content, item by item, category by category) so you can virtually display ANY statistics you want

that's what makes it different from other systems like joomla stats: they are more "global" but does not give you a SPECIFIC view.

Content Statistics, on the other hand, gives you ALL. all the power in your hands!

you can see, for instance... "how many times did the user 569 rated the K2 item number 23 with 4 stars the lask week?"
    it can be that specific!

or just.. "how many time was this K2 item viewed? (all time)" it can be that non-specific too. so it's suitable for both cases! it has it all!

as you can see, I get very existed talking about this. this is a new project we have just started, and we are very, very excited about its possibilites. we know how powerful it really is, and we want to share this with everyone and spread the word!!

    best,
    Germi

Awesome, this answers my pre-sales questions :)

I basically wanted to run some course material for my registered users and then see attendance for each course material article. I can later award them points etc

Sounds like what you described above covers this scenario!

    Hi
I am interested in purchasing Content Statistics for Joomla. However, I would like to know for certain if the article statistics can show which logged user viewed the specific article(s). So reiterating the question asked by #zhumar to confirm, you are saying that your product can tell me who exactly (username) viewed, for example, "Article 100" in a list form and how many times they viewed it?

mmm... not really. let's see: this info is, indeed, stored in the statistics records. but is not displayed directly. what you are asking is "top viewers of the current article", that displays a list of user names, and the number of times. this is not directly available as part of the articles plugin.

BUT this can be added into the articles plugin if you want to for you, for a small fee.

is that what you were asking for? just to be clear: do you need this only for the Joomla Articles content plugin?
