I imagine that my clients would want to access statastics from the backend of the website. All of the demos I've seen show the modules from the front/public site.
Can the modules also be displayed from the Admin Dashboard/Control Panel? This would be similiar to the Joomla standard backend - "Most Popular Articles" module.

yes, the modules can be added anywhere - but in any case, keep in mind that you can have these on the frontend, but make them visible ONLY to "special" users (that is, admins and super admins), so the result would be exactly the same, it would be a "private" feature only accessible by them!
