When I follow this instruction and first install plugin plg_contentstats_X.X.X.zip generates an error:
1060 Duplicate column name 'location_id' SQL=ALTER TABLE `eel_content_statistics` ADD `location_id` INT( 11 ) NOT NULL , ADD `country` VARCHAR( 15 ) NOT NULL , ADD `state` VARCHAR( 255 ) NOT NULL , ADD `city` VARCHAR( 255 ) NOT NULL , ADD INDEX ( `location_id` ) , ADD INDEX ( `country` )
However when I install com_contentstats_1.6.0_3.0 first, all seems to go well and I can install all other plugins and modules. However module com_content doesn't give any options for ranking articles etc. so obviously something is missing and when placed in cpanel gives arror:
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'LIMIT 5' at line 1 SQL=LIMIT 5
How can you sell such a half-cook software with no single installation package as other developers do.

this is very strange.. the instruction work for joomla 3.0 as well (no users reported any error like the one you're reporting, we haven't had any complains so far)
it's very strange that if you install the component you're not getting the problems..
the rankings are made with the modules, indeed, not the component.
trust me, the software works just fine. I'm sure this is only some missconfiguration issue or some fail in the installation (again, you're the first one to have this problem! and there are many users using it..)
