Hi,

I purchased this component today and got it fully installed and working (ie successfully collecting results and inputing these to the database). After this i had a number of issues getting the modules to work correctly within the front end of my site. After switching system debug on i have noticed that the Module Manager is completely in-accessible and i get this error message:

##################################################################################

JDatabaseMySQLi::query: 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1 SQL=SELECT element FROM j25_extensions WHERE type = "module" AND extension_id =

Where C:\xampp\htdocs\surgeTest is the root of my dev site. I subsequently installed a totally fresh version of Joomla 2.5 and have found that the same error is still present. I assume that the problems with the modules are a direct result of this.

Could you please let me know how to resolve this issue asap.

Thanks.

    Hello!

this looks really strange. I hadnt seen it before. can you try to uninstall/reinstall?

we are currently out on vacation until Monday... if you can wait until then, then I'll be able to access your site if you want and give you a hand to see what's going on!

I'm sorry for the inconvenience...! :)

No i have been un-able to resolve this issue. As mentioned within my earlier post you do not need to access my site to see what is going on. You can clearly replicate this issue by installing joomla 2.5 then the plugin. After this enable the debug settings within the CMS and then try to navigate to the module manager. You should then be able to see the error messages.

do you mean the problem only occurs with the debug method ON ?

I have installed Conent Statistics on dozens of Joomla 2.5 installations and haven't had this issue..! :)

ok, hold on. I can see what you mean. I thought you were having this problem always... I see now it's with the debug console ON that the module manager cannot be accessed.

I'm looking into it right now. I'll keep you posted!

    OK!

problem solved. was indeed a little bug when the debug mode was on. hadn't noticed before!

if you download the new version 1.4.1 of the core plugin plg_contentstats_1.4.1_1.6.zip and install, this problem should be gone!!

thanks for the heads up! and sorry for the trouble...!
