Does, or can, Content Stats actually log backend?

Add ons and extensions, aside, can Content Statistics actually log backend administrator accesses, and like the modules/components/articles - who did what and when? Either version?

I see no mention of it and it's what we need, to keep an eye on other admin activities......so if mistakes are made, we know who to give more training to, etc.

Thanks!

    well.. just a little bit.

you can log "administrator logins in the backend", or "article edition". that, you can log.
but as said, for now it's only on admin log in actions and article edition actions. do you need more?

Yes....it makes sense in my mind that any component or module, or core of same - that you can log on the front end, also be logged for any backend use - by yourself or other admin(s).

    Yes?

For example, the Community Builder "Admin Center" which notifies you of "new user account requests" has a bug I've discovered. And to date no way to fix it.
This bug is essentially this: if you do not click on the pending user link, and then "accept" or "reject" them from the front end admin center module, but INSTEAD go directly into the backend, and just delete those user accounts being requested via either the Joomla or CB User Manager....the admin center still shows those users as pending and they are stuck there forever....this is just one example of how Joomla Statistics could prove to be very useful. Find out which admin is doing this, so they can be instructed to do it properly.

Same thing goes with other components, or just to keep general tabs on who did what, and when - especially on more restrictive site like ours that we only allow registered users to post or make changes of some kind to. This morphs from just a stats tool, to a security and audit tool. :)

    Thanks!

well... not exactly, because the frontend "actions" that are recorded are essentially different than the backend ones. for instance in frontne you record "article views" but that does not make much sense in the backend...

I understand what you say, but as said before, for now Content Statistics records only SOME actions for the two extensions I commented (login, content), but not for CB, for instance.
we will try to keep adding new backend tracking functionalities over time. :)
