Database Failure

Hello Germi,

already mailed you because of another issue, but got another one, sry ;)
After installing i tried it out, for com_users, which is what i actually need it for.
So i tried to keep track of users logging in and out.

Well after wondering, why nothing is displayed, i did some research and found that my module doesn't fetch any data.
After seeing that, i looked up my db and found no entries corresponding to com_users.

Ok, i got:
Content Statistics - Users
enabled
both options (login & registration) are set to 'Yes'.

Doesn't that mean, that it automaticly starts to collect all data it could gather?

thanks in advance & best regards,
Max

Ok, they are all public, got 4 installed:
    - Content Statistics - Users
    - Content Statistics - Kunena
    - Content Statistics - Login (backend)
    - Content Statistics - Joomla articles (content)

It seems, that users which don't use the direct login, but instead use the login form provided by kunena are not logged.
That seems to be the reason for yesterdays strange behavior. Didn't come to my mind, that i could use some other login-module to verify, stupid me.
I just realized that, and i'm still trying to figure it out, whether it's me having miss-configuration, or if it's your plugin ^^.
Hell, i hate it if things don't work for me as they obviously do for someone else .

Well i'll keep you informed, maybe you could tell me whether this might or might not be some obvious reason, which i could fix very fast?

    Sorry for any inconvenience.

    kind regards,
    Max

    EDIT:
The kunena-plugin doesn't seem to work after all. Even if it wasn't supposed to keep track of user logins via kunena, it should collect data about topics viewed, right? It doesn't.
Oh and somehow, when comparing content statistics for "all cathegories/articles", filtering for specific user id or current user doesn't affect the output at all?!
    EDIT 2:
Your server gives me strange errors when trying to upload the screenshot of my backend config. It displays an exceeds size error, but with really strange numbers. Image got ~34kB and it displays something about 412.000B or something.

    hello!

the "Kunena login" thing is normal.. the plugin for com_users track com_users logins.. not kunena's!
and Kunena plugin does not log login actions.

so.. it's not that "is not working", is that the kunena logins are not recorded! do you know what I meaN?
have you tried the normal login? do they work fine?

I'm sorry about the screenshot uploads :S

maybe it would be easier for us both to continue this thread over the email? :) you already have our email, right? this way we can help you in the remaining things you're having problems with! :)

hope to hear from you Max!

    Germi

    Hello Germi,

i haven't got your mail, i just tried your contact-form and yet didn't get any answer ;)

So i don't really know your mail, but found one on another thread in this forum.
    joomlastatistics@gmail.com
    Is it the right one?

To answer your question, yes it works fine with the normal site-login.
The other problem with the kunena plugin is still persistent, it doesn't log any data, even though i personally visit our forum regular.
To be honest i believe i got something missconfigured, as everything else worked fine after configuring it right (found out how to do it correct by accident :P).

If you have access to my email-address, feel free to contact me, if you like.
Otherwise i will do, after you confirmed me your address.

    Thanks in advance,
    Max

yes, that's our email! did you write us using the Contact form? :S :S what is your email address? I'm afraid we didn't receive it... please right us at joomlastatistics@gmail.com, yes! :)

it's strange about the Kunena logs.. (specially if everything else is working fine)
if you want to give me access data, I can take a look at everything to see if it's properly confgured or if there's something missing..!

    probably it's nothing! :)
