I have just installed and tested content statistics on a Joomla 2.5 site and a Joomla 3 site. I have installed all required plugins (Joomla version specific) and published them.
All seems to be working except that component updates are not being recorded on either site. I have Akeeba Admin tools installed and wonder if you are aware of any exceptions being required in the htaccess to allow Content Statistics to function correctly.
Is there anything further I need to do / check to record the updates being applied by the administrator

I will have to start again and try to debug this: I have installed the component onto five sites. Some on a live server and some on local dev. I have some with admin tools disabled and some enabled. The extensions plugin is recording only on 1 site of the five, 4 sites are recording all other actions: modules, content etc etc but not the extension updates. On 1 site I am unable to install the additional plugins at all. I will post again if I can find the cause of such variable results.

Sperumore than a month agoI have found the problem: Akeeba Backup System Restore Points must be disabled to allow the recording of updates and installations. For newer Joomla users using Akeeba Backup component: Go to Joomla Plugin Manager, search for System Restore Points and disable the plugin.
