Fatal error when running extended version under Joomla 2.5.4

I have installed the extended version of content statistics on a website running Joomla 2.5.4. The standard version was running, but as I want to be able to export statistics I have purchased the extended version. The installation process ran successfully.
But when I try to access to the component through the admin interface, i get the following error message :
Fatal error: Class 'JControllerLegacy' not found in /home/www/889b50d45e5524374fcdfe1620f9cf7c/web/cms/administrator/components/com_contentstats/controller.php on line 20.
Can you help me ?

    hello,

    Probably this is because you're using a quite old version of Joomla 2.5 (2.5.4)
    the easiest solution would be to upgrade your installation to a newer 2.5 version.

    if you can't do that, then please send me FTP access to the site at support@ joomlathat.com and I'll fix it by code.

    Thank you for your quick answer. I have updated Joomla for 2.5.4 to 2.5.28 and now the component is working fine.
