Hello.

We acquired, installed and configured the Basic Content Statistics Standard extensions with a Compare/Evolution module in the front-end of our website with tracking set up for three easyblog datasets - successfully displaying graphically. Then we realized that we needed to upgrade to the Extended version in order to display the data in the back-end which is what we want to do - display the data in the back-end not the front end.

After installing the Extended modules - the component displays in the admin - listing the activity data correctly like shown in the demo. There is an Evolution/Compare module positioned in contentstats_backend_1 which is not pulling in any data - hours after the installation and configuration. There is also a Ranking module positioned in contentstats_backend_2 - which does pull in data but with the following error:

modContentStatisticsHelper::getItems() should not be called statically in /home/customer/www/........./public_html/administrator/modules/mod_content_statistics/mod_content_statistics.php on line 20

Any info/help on why the Compare mode would have no data -or- what this error indicates?

Also the front-end module is no longer pulling in data - whereas - prior to upgrading it was displaying data successfully.

Also:
Is there documentation about upgrading to the Extension version from Content Statistics Standard - I'm not finding any procedural info.
After upgrading - in our JoomlaThat account - it looks like we created a new subscription - so that we have two now - one for basic and one for extended - rather than one upgraded subscription...not sure if this matters. We were given a new "key" different from the one we were given for the Basic version that we had previously entered upon installation of the "basic" plugin and modules. Is there somewhere to input this new Extended version key? Or do I need to uninstall the Content Statistics Standard extensions and then install the Content Statistics Extended Standard component and extensions after inputting the new key - somewhere. Or does none of this matter?

Joomla! 3.9.28
PHP 7.4.30

Thanks!
Diane

    Hello,

I'll take a look into this issue. However, in the meantime, if you go to joomla admin configuration panel and set the "error reporting" to "simple" or "none", these notices should be gone.

You don't need to uninstall the previous version in order to install the Extended package, as the difference between them is the backend component (the frontend modules are the same)

    Hello.

I was able to correct the 'missing' data display by changing the Compare module config setting for "Chart engine" from 'Google Charts' to 'Chart JS'. Attached are my current settings and the resulting chart display.

Although the graph looks good - I'm not sure if I have the settings set correctly for the 'JS' chart engine.
Also wondering what combination of settings would be needed in order to use the Google Chart engine.

    Thanks!
    Diane
