Money Back Purchase

Hello,

I have purchased and tried so many products from different source for my Joomla site. Some of them work, a lot did not. It can be very expensive.
If I purchase the Calender Planner, (primarily because it is the one calendar app that integrates with Jomsocial) and if I hate it or it just doesn't suit my needs, is there a money back guarantee? Just can't go through another failed software expense.

Yes don't worry, you will be covered.

However, I encourage you to ask me any questions you may have before purchasing about functionality.

Wow! that was fast. Thanks for responding.

I checked out the back-end demo but didn't see any real working path between Jomsocial and the Planner. How does that work?
Do events entered in Jomsocial automatically populate the Planner and vice-versa?

Also, I had questions about the Repeats event and the Alert features: The repeat event input boxes are a bit vague. Is it days, hours, minutes?
There no language there. At the Alert feature, it seems one could alert user(s) however there was no clear indication how or who would be alerted.
Its a very beautiful GUI app and it looks like it would work with my site.

    Hello there,

the JomSocial integration is shown in the frontend, and the way it works it that is displays the jomsocial events in the calendar views (day, week, month). it's a one way integration. you can see the events in Calendar Planner and if you want, get redirected to the event page in jomsocial. the jomsocial events will not appear in the normal list view.

about the Repeat input boxes: it's days, weeks and months. (see screnshot. the field be showing a placeholder text telling what it is)

the alerts are for the user setting it. each user can set an alert for himself, but not for anybody else.

Great. Sounds really wonderful except for the part
the jomsocial events will not appear in the normal list view.
    Damn, that's ashame!:(

The list view makes this app a standout. Is there no way of making that a part of the Jomsocial/Planner experience? Some 'tweak' of something?
Also, wondering if this comes with the side module for upcoming events or is that Jomsocial as well?

well, listing the events in the normal list view (in the frontend) would indeed require some tweaks in the component integration plugin. It can be done, yes, but it's just not there at the moment. we can definitely in adding this for an upgrade of the plugin!

yes, the modules come with the subscription.

Well, this has all been very convincing. I think I will take a chance on Planner with the Jomsocial plugins.
If your plans to add the list view to Jomsocial come to be that would really make this the perfect option. I'll take a chance that a future update is coming.

    Thanks again.

    Ok,

I installed the various components of the Calendar Planner. It's not working. I followed the installation instruction to the letter. Put in the subfolder path (my site is actually a sub-folder in a sub-folder public_html/cms/wab2.5, maybe that's the problem) I created a monthly view menu link and what I see is the first images attached. I added mini calendar module to Jomsocial frontpage and found the formatting is off, see attached. Then I added an event through Jomsocial, it didn't show up anywhere. I fear I will be asking for a refund if I can't get to the bottom of this.

I'm running Joomla! 3.3.6 Stable and using Firefox Browser.

    Hello,

what did you input in the "subfolder" path?
the subfolder refers to the URL path, not the file path (which is the one you're showing me)
in other words, what do you put in your browser to access the site?

    Hi,

I put in the sub-folder path: /cms/wab2.5. The actually path is: http://www.womenabout.org/cms/wab2.5/index.php
I also put in variation of that as well like /cms/wab2.5/ or just /wab2.5

no, /cms/wab2.5 should be the right thing.

I went to your site and the issue comes from a JavaScript error. oddly enough, the error does not come from Calendar Planner files.

there is some code that is messing up the page.
    this is the code:

    /* var jax_live_site = 'http://www.womenabout.org/cms/wab2.5/index.php';
    var jax_token_var='4ccfe23f4ac24ed80fa9024d501ff27c';
    /*]]>*/

aparently there is some bad syntax there. do you know where this comes from? maybe the template?

    Hi,

I figured out why the calendar was showing Javascript error. It had to do with the template, mootools, and switching that on or off in the background. All better now. I do have a lingering question: the mini module has scroll bars on it and it's distracting. Is there anyway of getting rid of those?

One other thing: how do you feature a event and can you do it with maps and list?

Never mind... found the file to delete the scroll bars. This component seems to be work as it should. I'm very excited... now we just have wait for Jomsocial entered events to appear in the normal list view on the calendar.

      Thanks for your help.

Ok events can't be featured. Under menu creation there an option for menu labeled Event, what that all about.

But here's the more important question today: in your demo the categories button shows the number of listed categories, in my calendar the button shows each categories list side by side and this starts to over load the the menu area (see attached my screen shot, then your screen). I've turn off my template styling on these pages as well. How can I make mine like yours?

    hello,

it will show the number of cats selected if it's >3. up until 3, it shows the names, afterwards it shows the number...
there is a way to change this number but it requires editing a JavaScript file.

    Hi Germinal,

I think I might have to request a refund. I purchased CP primarily because it could integrate with JSocial. Since I've install it I find that some small things (and larger things) keep this from being the solution to my needs. These are a few CP issue:

-Date/24 hr time doesn’t work; I selected 12 hr option but app defaults to 24hr
-Repeat events (every boxes) always populated with 0,0,0 instead of Days, weeks, months
-Can’t add image to events description; no html ability
-No true integration with Jomsocial: on list view, group notification etc., so I can’t notify members through the calendar on all events

Your Customer support has been great but I don’t know if it will overcome the issue above.

    oh.. that's a shame!
but no problem, if you rather prefer a refund we can issue it right away.

BTW, the "0,0,0" for repeats should be very easy to solve... but in any case, no, there are no images for events at the moment, sorry.
we will work to improve integrations too.

    Hi Germinal,

Yes, it is a shame. I really like where this product is heading and I believe the above issue will improve very soon.
I look forward to some (or all of the features) I need added to the component, and when they are I will revisit Calendar Planner.

Thank you for the very fast refund. I look forward to the future CP.

    Hi,

Seems your the only calendar of its kind for Jomsocial and Joomla. My client needs a calendar that integrates with Jomsocial In both directions... they want to be able to send notification to event groups. So I need to know, if we paid extra for this development could you create code that would better integrate events between both components?

That's something we could customly develop with our Custom Coding Service.

To have a full understanding of what you need, can you please email me the requirements at support@ joomlathat.com?
you already know what CP can do. So, if you can make a list of all the things it does NOT do and you want, I'll be able to analyse it and make a quote for you

    thanks!

    Hi Germinal,

    The client wants:
The ability to add image to events description or at least the ability to add HTML attributes
True integration with Jomsocial: 1) Events that can be added to through Jomsocial that will show up in list and the calendar view with the same defined color highlights as event added through the calendar. 2) Show the same events in both the JS and CP time line (so that category/group members will receive notification of upcoming events) 3) Access to future upgrades that will include/maintain these added features.

Finally, just fix minor "bugs" noted before:
-Date/24 hr time doesn’t work; selected 12 hr option defaults to 24hr
-Repeat events (every boxes) always populated with 0,0,0 instead of Days, weeks, months
